Rooted In Body Wisdom and Authentic Connection
If you’re reading this, I want you to understand there is hope and help here.
I’ve been working with individuals for over 15 years, some of which have been in the darkest of places, rock bottom.
I have, and continue to be privileged to see the courage and wisdom that comes when one is given compassion, understanding, empathy and nurture to meet with themselves in true authentic connection.
Instead of struggling to survive, learn to thrive and live happily again!
You don’t have to do this alone.
I know the way, Lets go,
Thank you for visiting Cotswolds Therapy Practice
About Me
Polly Hammond
Qualified and Insured | BACP Accredited | FHT member
Private Practice since 2012
Words used to describe me – authentic, spiritual, intuitive.
I have always been a helper; it’s quite natural to me.
I began working professionally building my practice and adding to my qualifications over 15 years ago. I started with spiritual practice and holistic body work. While working to release blockages and pain in the body I soon stumbled into the emotional territory of clients and their history, (the body holds score) so I gave myself good grounding in psychotherapy and body psychotherapy.
For me it’s a very natural to link the mind body and soul, in my practice that’s exactly what we do.
By understanding and gaining wisdom in all these arenas I can offer a fully holistic care, treatment plans to aid the recovery of your happiness and the fulfilling your unique potential.
This therapy combines the body and mind in a unique way to actually re-wire the brain and aid recovery from trauma and offers deep healing at a profoundly level.
A Therapeutic group co-created in safety runs ongoing throughout the year, building trust connection and a sense of belonging. This is group work that really touches the parts talking therapies cannot. By utilising and unifying both left and right sides of the brain to create new neurological pathways, we leave behind modes of behavioural patterns that no longer serve us and hold us back from becoming the people we truly could be.
This method has the benefit of not repeating trauma verbally and using the body’s own intelligence to guide us to blissful new beginnings.
A return to noticing the lessons in nature and how the seasons reflect back to us the cycles of change. These are always very relaxed and paced by you and with shelter nearby should we should need it.
Offering both long terms, being with you as a witness to your life and alongside you as you travel your path bearing witness to courage and steadying hand to help reflect your adjustments and decisions along the way. Also, short-term psychotherapy, to go deeply with you for a short while, facilitating your exploration of a particular topic or obstacle.
Facilitating different ways to look at issues and obstacles creatively to shed new light and inspiration using a variety of mediums Including one off sessions to problem solve and “get something straight in your head.” Where words don’t come easily, I like to use tools such as dice, labyrinths, inner child cards, sand tray and other materials to encourage and invite clients to explore emotions and patterns in a creative way.
Do you have a reoccurring dream, some delightful, pleasant and some Nightmares or night terrors?
Do you feel you receive messages through your dreaming and want to help understanding them?
Dreams are powerful messages from our unconscious; I can help you make sense of the wisdom that’s within.
I have many years of experience interpreting dreams, working with renowned dream specialist psychotherapists and I am trained in the many different techniques of exploration and interpretation of our dreamscapes.

Accessing Therapy
Making therapy accessible for everyone is important to me, so I also offer a service where therapy comes to you! Remote therapy also has the benefit of being able to choose the right therapist rather than a local one.
If choosing to have sessions in the comfort of your own home via video or telephone makes therapy easier for you then that’s what we can do. All you need is a comfortable quiet and undisturbed space.
I have a number of treatments rooms which I can access should you decide you’d like to have more traditional in person therapy, all of which are comfortable clean and private. They are based around the Cotswolds Counties.
This option allows further privacy and access to sessions at a time convenient to you. You choose the location, maybe your car, at a favourite beauty spot, whilst walking in nature or even a peaceful church building or village hall or trusted friend’s house. All you need is a good 4GG/5G connection.
If we are local enough to each other I can offer sessions where we take our work outside, we can walk and talk, using nature to guide and reflect back to us the seasons and the cycles of change. These are always very relaxed and paced by you and with shelter nearby should we should need it.
If you have access to a quiet private space at work you can have session in your lunch break, before work or afterwork. I often find now days employers can be very helpful and supportive of their staff accessing therapy and sometimes allow this time to not be deducted from your working hours. This option is partially helpful if you have a full household or wish to have additional privacy regarding your seeking therapy.
Sessions are to the therapeutic hour (50mins) will take place either in person on the phone or online. Sessions will usually occur on the same time and on the same day each week. Flexible sessions are available – let me know what works best for your schedule and I shall try my best to accommodate.
